llegada, arrivée, ukufika, ARRIVAL
With 6 days of tranquilo in Mexico, 2 flights on Air France including a layover in Paris, and my first day in my new home in Pretoria, I have had my share of cross-cultural training. Or, so I think. Even with my terrible Spanish skills, I still was saying “Si” and “Gracias” to the French flight attendants. I think they were entertained.
Upon my arrival last night, my team welcomed me to Pretoria with a delicious meal (this means they love me), and I slept in and rested today while they took food to 8 different families in Mamelodi. After 3 years, I return to the Powerhouse Church tomorrow, which is the main reason why I came back.
ukufika = “arrival” in zulu
