Final Preparations

I can do preparations. I can do planning.  Give me a list, and I’ll check it off.  So what happens when the list is checked off with confidence, yet things are not going according to plan? Uh oh…little Willy can’t handle that.

While I can prepare for the logistics, only God can prepare my heart. The past week I have been forced into a reliance upon my faith that has been largely un-nurtured for 6 years.  I’m a garden full of weeds.  With no renter for my house, I will be calling Delta to cancel my flight today. Apparently, God has determined that HE will be the one making the final preparations.   “I know, O Lord, that a man’s life is not his own; it is not for man to direct his steps.”  Jeremiah 10:23-24

Yesterday, Nate & Rebecca were dropped off at my house by Rebecca’s parents for me to deliver them to the airport today for their departure to Johannesburg.  Our evening together laid just the right groundwork for a great send-off, along with the hopes to join them soon.
